- want to influence the decision-making processes in relation to equality and diversity in your Local Area Agreement (LAA) and LSP?
- Work with your local strategic partnership (LSP), local authority and other public sector bodies e.g. primary care trust?
- Support local organisations involved in work around equalities and diversity?
Then this practical, interactive seminar may be for you.
Local authorities are required to conduct Equalities Impact Assessments (EIAs) as part of the Local Area Agreement. The local third sector can help the willing do it better and encourage the reluctant to comply. This seminar will explore how public law principles can be applied to EIAs, and discuss how to involve third sector organisations and communities to make sure EIAs address their concerns”
